Children

Hi!  We’re glad you’re exploring our Children’s Ministries page.  If you have any questions or want more information,

please contact  Megan McBee our Children’s Ministry Coordinator.

Sundays at 9:38, children Pre-K to 3rd Grade gather in our Fellowship Hall for the Voyagers’ Gathering, then on into their individual age groups for hands-on learning of the lesson for the day. On the last Sunday of each month, there is no Voyagers, so families are able to worship together.

Pier 456 is St. John’s pre-teen ministry for children Grades 4-6.  They meet Sundays at 9:38 in the lower level of the Worship Center.  The time begins connecting (food, foosball, air hockey), then they dive into conversation on the day’s theme, all finished with prayer and “Highs & Lows.”  Pier 456 does not meet the last Sunday of the month so families can worship together.  There are opportunities to serve during worship on the last Sunday of each month, as well as occasional service projects.

Splash is our ministry for infants and their families. On Sundays, this is means nursery care which is located in the lower level of the Worship Center (adjacent to the Church Office). The nursery is staffed with paid staff and is a welcome place for your child to make new friends! In addition to nursery care, Splash includes our baptism prep programs and parental care events.

Faith Milestones

Children & Family Ministries focuses not only on your child, but on the entire family as each child goes on their own journey in growing into faith.  As a way to support and walk alongside families during the formative years, we provide various workshops (such as baptism and first communion) and family events (Trunk or Treat and Camp Out) to provide opportunities to grow in community as we experience the love of Jesus Christ.

Vacation Bible School

This is a week long program that is offered August 7-11, 2017, 9:00-12:00 for children ages 3 to 6th Grade! There will be more details coming soon!
