The Alpha Course
A Practical Presentation of the Christian Faith
The Alpha course runs through 10 weekly sessions. It also includes a weekend retreat (usually from Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon). Each weekly session starts with a shared meal, followed by some singing, laughter and a video presentation by Rev. Nicky Gumble, the founder of the Alpha course. After the video, participants break into small groups to discuss that evening’s topic. Some topics are: Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? Why should I read the Bible? What about the Holy Spirit? How can I overcome Evil? Does God heal today?
Alpha is designed to be a blessing to the Christian as well as the non-Christian, the strong believer as well as the person who still has questions. Please feel free to invite your relatives, friends and neighbors.
