Pastor Sarah was born and raised in Hagerstown, MD and graduated with a B.A. in Music from Sweet Briar College in 2011, and an M.Div. from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg in 2017. She has a passion for all things music, social justice, and growing in love of God and one another. Together with her husband, Mychael, Pastor Sarah enjoys cooking, creating worship music, and playing with their dog, Ruby.
Mike’s passion is finding ways to use music to enhance and enrich the worship of God, and helping others use their musical gifts to do the same. Mike graduated from Towson University, earning a BS degree in Music Education with organ as the applied instrument. Fully German on his mother’s side, Mike’s favorite food is sauerbraten, although he doesn’t indulge in this dish too often! Mike began his service at St. John’s in 1975.
Laurie Krieger came to St. John’s on October of 2012 after 31 years at Verizon. In her free time she enjoys reading and watching tv, especially crime dramas. She also really loves animals. Laurie is very involved with St. John’s in Parkville where she serves as the chair of the hospitality and fellowship committee. She also is a part of the alter guild, eucharistic ministers, vicar care committee and women’s Bible study.
Randy cares for our campus inside and out. He works closely with property volunteers; sets up for events; completes routine cleaning; and welcomes various repair professionals when needed. Randy is a member of Mt. Pisgah CME church on Fulton Avenue, Baltimore City. Randy leads Sunday School and has been a big brother in mentoring and coaching.
Sophie began interning for St Johns the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year in the Pier456 ministries. Her passion for Children’s Ministry began 6 years ago when she started volunteering at Grace Fellowship Church in Timonium, MD and proceeded to intern there for two consecutive summers. Sophie is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Mass Communications at Towson University and is projected to graduate in Fall 2020. When she isn’t at church, you can find Sophie writing articles, studying or watching movies.
