Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is men and women who serve God by tending to the altar for regular and special services of worship. Behind the scenes, they maintain altar ware, clean furnishings, prepare linens, vestments, and equip the altar area for the Sacrament of Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. Flowers for the altar may be ordered by signing the flower chart on the bulletin board in the lobby, filling out a request form (located at the bottom of the chart), and turning in the form and payment to the church office or placing them in the offering plate.
Prices for flowers are $36 for altar flowers (2 vases), $18 for bouquets, and $8.95 for rosebuds, with checks payable to “Women of St. John’s”.
